Researchers Use Gaming Camera to Detect Walking Problems in MS

Researchers from McGill University reported a motion-sensing device that can be hooked up to gaming consoles or computers – detected walking abnormalities, and the severity of those abnormalities, in 10 people with MS compared with 10 controls without MS. If confirmed in larger studies, these findings may yield a relatively inexpensive, simple way to detect and address walking problems and to determine if treatments are helping.
